Let’s Talk Costco: Gift Cards and Bulk Buys Worth Knowing About
The best finds, the biggest values, and the little things that make everyday life easier.

Costco isn't just for bulk snacks and paper towels (although, yes, those are MVPs). It's also one of my favorite places to grab gift cards and everyday essentials that make life a little better—without overspending.
Here are a few of my go-to finds right now.
The quick answer
Costco has offered a $100 SpaFinder gift card for $79.99. On paper, that is a straightforward $20.01 savings on a massage, facial, manicure, pedicure, hair service, or another eligible wellness treatment.
The catch is that SpaFinder acceptance varies by location and service. A business appearing in a directory does not always mean every service, promotion, or gratuity can be paid for with the card.
Who this deal is best for
- You already visit a participating spa.
- You have a specific treatment in mind.
- The spa confirms that SpaFinder can be used for that treatment.
- You will use the card soon instead of storing it indefinitely.
What to check before purchasing
First, search for participating locations. Then verify the business directly. Ask whether there are restrictions, whether the card can cover tax or gratuity, and whether it can be combined with a promotion.
Second, compare the real price. A direct spa promotion, membership price, or package may save more than $20. The Costco card is not automatically the best deal simply because it is discounted.
Third, have a use-by plan. Gift cards are easiest to forget when they were purchased without a specific appointment in mind.
My Costco rule: it is only a deal if you will actually use it.
When I would skip it
I would skip the card if my preferred spa does not accept it, if the eligible locations are inconvenient, or if I am tempted mainly by the word “discount.” Spending $79.99 on something that sits in a drawer is not a savings.
The bottom line
The Costco SpaFinder gift card is a good, low-effort deal for someone who has already confirmed where and how they will use it. Do the five-minute location check first; that is what turns the offer from an impulse buy into a useful $20 savings.
